Kat DeSalle is one half of the crazy writing duo that created the HAS BEEN SERIES. Born and raised in California, she graduated with a degree in Fine Art, which introduced her to a number of creative outlets. She dabbled in various jobs ranging from teaching art, to working in the finance industry. Ultimately, she found her passion in writing. Now, she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and children, where she follows her dream of writing romance novels.
Kristin Leigh Jones is the wearer of many hats —not literally—although she does look good in one. From being a full-time mom, wife, chef, maid, dog walker, litter box scooper to owning a photography business and working as a freelance editor ... She now adds writer to her long resume. Between juggling all these tasks she squeezes in as much time as possible for snuggling her babies, reading, and watching football on Sundays in the fall. Da Bears! Hailing from the Midwest her whole life, she fully appreciates the change of seasons but admits to really only enjoying it less than 5 months of the year.

So I bought this one night because I was doing an event for my book Heart Of Stone, and the authors were kind enough to donate three copies of it to the event for me to give away. While that was great of them I wanted to be able to at least talk about the book with a bit of knowledge, since I was hosting them for an hour! Just having links does not an hour fill.
I sat down with it at my computer not having read the blurb, because I never do when a book comes across my desk, I'd rather find out the plot as it unfolds. Immediately I knew it was going to be interesting. I mean come on by the tenth page Tony is balls deep in this porn stars ass who's mewling like a strangled cat and talking about how he's not even enjoying it. If that didn't catch my attention...
He's got the littlest dick in the industry, and it's made him rich. He's tangled up with the strangled cat named Cindy in business and a parasitic pseudo relationship that's been going on since she popped his cherry on camera when he was all of 18. She's trouble from the start and you know it, hell you can smell it in the air.
In Florida he literally trips over Emily Grant, not seeing her walking along in her sloppy drunken haze. She's a diminutive five feet, where as he's well over six and wasn't looking down. They have an increasingly awkward conversation leaving Tony in a fog. Wishing he'd had a better set of moves, as he couldn't stop thinking about the little pixie.
Fate smiles on him in the form of his boy Ric, and his nasty temper tossing him in lock up, see the little Road Bump happens to be a paralegal int eh office of the Lawyer the retain to get Ric outta trouble. This time Tony manages to get a date...
These two are a trip together, you can see them as they interact and laugh, they seem to enjoy each other's company at the baseball game she get the tickets to. They chat and Tony avoids the what he did for a living portion of the conversations, not ready to lose the perfect girl yet. He likes her and wants to savor as much as he can of the time he has.
Just when it looks like the night is going to end with a Bang, These two are all kinds of over each other int he front seat of his car. Tony's insecurities about his little Tony freak him out and he blows it. The girl waving goodbye in that sheepish what the hell manner.
See now I've finished this one too, all in a single sitting, but I won't give you more than the frustration Tony is in at his point... Come pick up Ting Tang Tony and kills that case of Blue Book Balls!
