This is called Murder of An Oil Heiress for a reason...
From dear old Dad to the maids, everyone is a suspect, and with good reasons all around. You really can't blame them either. Mallory threatened to destroy her brother's political aspirations with racy photos of him and the maid. She managed to get her brother-in-law liquored up enough to bang her five ways from Sunday and even taped it for posterity! And of course later use.... Her main objective?
Well besides ending up dead? To gain her siblings shares in Dear old Dads' Billion dollar Oil Business. And she would have gotten away with it to, if not for that pesky dog and those rotten kids.... Oh, wait.. sorry wrong show!! LOL. But seriously, the one with the most to loose, was her sister Sarah.
Darling sister Sarah, she is the epitome of the virgin sacrifice. A good girl, sweet to the point of making my teeth ache.
(I just can't root for her.... But that's my twisted soul... Not yours...)
As for her lying cheating hubby? If you're going to be wreaked with guilt just tell someone and deal with it! Strap on your balls and take your licks!
(Sorry... easily manipulated men annoy the shit out of me...)
Moving on... So Mallory gets a short taste of success, then winds up dead on the kitchen floor.... Dumm, duh dumm dumm......
I'll not tell you anymore of the story because you need to go and read it for yourself... It's a mystery and to give any more would ruin it for you!!
My issues with the goodie goodies aside, I did enjoy the read, Candy Anne Little has manged to weave a rather good little yarn. I do hope you take a chance and give it a go..
