The 131 Preview Review Presents
Once upon a time, that's how most of these stories start. But this isn't one of those stories...
Christmas is a time of magic and joy. It's the one thing in the world that can warm the hardest of hearts. At least, that's what it used to be like. For the last 200 years, under the cruel regime of the militia, hope and believe have faded along side happiness. For Davin, it wasn't hard to believe that nothing was going to be okay again. He's seen with his own two eyes the exhaustion and defeat that weigh down the dwindling population.
It's why he escaped the cities with their crushing hold on the citizens.
Stumbling through the woods with a storm on the brink, Davin seeks shelter if only for the night. But the cold winds and unforgiving snow try to claim him and he wakes up in a warm bed in a strange manor. An unusual creature, called a winter elf, pronounces him Santa Claus and Davin quickly realizes this isn't a dream. He has found himself in Santa's Workshop.
Refusing to believe that he's actually Jolly Old Saint Nick he seeks out "Mrs Claus" convinced she'll be able to tell the elves that he isn't her husband. Only the woman he finds there isn't what he's expecting. In place of a matronly old woman he finds a hot, attractive young woman that he finds himself instantly attracted to. One good romp with her won't harm his chances of getting out of here - right?
In exchange for pretending to be Santa they make a bet where he has the chance to win exactly what he wants from her: sex with no strings attached. But making the bet is easy, following through with his promise turns out to be harder than he expects when emotions get involved.
Not to mention being Santa isn't just about cookies and magic, lists and toys. There's an evil witch who is out to destroy Christmas, jaded by her broken heart. She sends Brujas and Vampires their way, hoping the creatures will destroy the last of Christmas magic and hope.
To save Christmas, Davin has to accept who he is meant to be and learn to believe again.
Get whisked away to Santa's Workshop in this magical retelling of the classic Fairy Tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
Being that this one focuses on Christmas I felt it only POST it today!!!
So this is the latest Twisted Fairy Tale from Kyleigh Castronaro, much like the others it is smokin' hot at times and delightfully different from anything else I've read. Written to be the authors imagining of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves it's come a long way from good old Walt's classic tale.
Davin is the bad boy infatuated by a woman who pretty much calls him a man whore and shoves him off after getting a screaming orgasm that she doesn't let him get to the end of for his pleasure. This sends him in to a bit of a tizzy, he's not used to being brushed off, that's usually his thing to do. Bent on getting his way he agrees to her terms to get to know a woman as something other than a hole and a heartbeat... His reward NSA romps.
The game is on, and he''s in it to win it, knowing she feels the heat that he does. Davin's hard pressed to lose his arrogance. But there are other things that try his time and patience, and soon he finds himself surrounded by the truth of the matter. Christmas and the "Santa Claus" thing is far more than he bargained for, when the attacks start and he chooses to believe it really gets weird. And there's this Hilarious PLOT TWIST!!
But I won't tell you, what I can tell you is that this Fairy Tale opens the lines of the others. It shows that the previous books are interconnected. Characters and environments are revisited from Desecrated Beauty and Mionanamithe which was unexpected but delightful o have happen, so you do want to read those to understand their significance in this tale.
Wonderfully imagined and well executed this tale is certainly worthy of five stars from me.
BIO
FANGIRL TURNED WRITER. SLYTHERIN SHADOWHUNTER FROM DISTRICT FOUR.
I'm fairly confident that I came out of womb reading the book. I've always loved stories in whatever medium they come. Books, movies, television shows... It didn't matter. I didn't discriminate (I still don't!). It was only a natural progression that I become a writer myself.
I've been telling stories for as long as I've been reading. Even if it was just standing in front of my family acting out dramatic retellings of my day or making up stories of my own it didn't matter. It was only a matter of time until I branched out into being a real writer and sharing my stories with friends and strangers alike. And you know what? It's the best job in the world.
I write dirty, sexy stories about humans & their supernatural lovers. I grew up dreaming of being a Greek Goddess, not a Princess, so I wrote a book about it. In my Grace of Gods series normal humans find out they possess the souls of Greek Gods within them. They are whisked out of their lives and brought to Mount Olympus, thrust into the new and dramatic lives of their Gods.
